Pesticide Residue Statement for Export Wheat Cargoes
The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration (GIPSA), in conjunction with the U.S. Wheat Associates provides, on a continuing basis, analysis of export wheat cargoes for pesticide residues.
Overall, samples are tested by GIPSA for the presence of 59 different pesticide residues/compounds, including Chlorpyrifos Methyl and Malathion. Results of the residue analyses from randomly selected samples indicate that wheat shipped from U.S. ports consistently has been within Codex and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) limits.
